DiaVox provides Computer Telephony and Web
solutions as a strategic technology partner to OEMs, systems
integrators and application developers worldwide. IVRS software
platform enables developers to build, run and manage large-scale
interactive CT-Web solutions integrating voice, fax, Web and
multimedia technologies.
The core of IVR is the Topaz Engine, the Graphical VOS and the CallSuite programming environment. Together, these components provide an environment in which you can build, test, debug and run robust, portable Computer Telephony (CT) applications quickly and easily. The applications run on Windows 2000 or Windows NT-based run-time environment, capitalizing on the robustness of these operating systems to execute your resulting programs.
Topaz Engine
IVR's Topaz Engine, which is based on object-oriented architecture, intercedes between the developer's telephony commands and underlying telephony hardware resources providing you API transparency. With Topaz transparency feature, it frees you from dealing with a lot of tasks that native APIs require, such as complex API function signatures including handles, bit-fields, pointers and structures. Topaz allows you to work with different telephony APIs and all supported trunk types - including analog loop start, T1, E&M, E1/R2 and PRI, using the same line of codes. Additionally, it also determines the installed hardware and trunk configuration of your system.
Development Environment
IVR gives you the flexibility to choose the environment in
which to develop your applications: Graphical VOS or CallSuite.
Graphical VOS
Graphical VOS programming environment composed of a scripting
language, a graphical user interface and a debugger. VOS core
scripting language, which is similar to C/C++, is optimized
for building telephony applications. A simple application
with only 14 lines of VOS code (or three Graphical VOS icons)
can require more than 500 lines of C/C++ code. The interpreted
VOS language is compiled to P-code, which allows all available
hardware ports to run on a single thread. It also enables
extremely high performance since it is optimized to eliminate
overhead compared to most multi-threaded C/C++ applications.
With VOS environment you'll have the ability to build high-density
applications with as many ports per PC as the current hardware
will support. Industrial strength, highly reliable, and extremely
flexible, the Graphical VOS environment also supports a broad
range of telephony technologies that provide the same low-level
control as writing directly to the board API in C or C++.
CallSuite
This alternative CallSuite Active X controls seamlessly integrate
into familiar visual programming environment like Delphi,
Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Power Builder. This environment
can be the preferred tool of developers who are less familiar
with building CT Applications allowing you to develop in your
familiar visual development environment. Also it provides
you the benefit to gain experience, build prototypes, enhance
existing applications and build commercial applications. CallSuite
are available for voice processing, text-to-speech, fax, conferencing
and speech recognition.
